The BEST Greek food in the Okanagan! Greek wings, humus and pita, saganaki, chicken souvlaki.. and the BACLAVA! We go once a week minimum just to get our fix! Thanks Yamas for being 100% perfect all of the time...
The food was incredibly delicious and freshly cooked. It felt that the ingredients are fresh, atmosphere was lovely and service was promising too. Hummus was also fresh and nice! Best roasted slow cooked lamb I have ever had!
We haven't been back to Yamas in 3 years but it was just as we remembered it, incredible food and amazing service. Our server knew there was another large party being served. So when she saw my 1.5yr old toddler she offered to bring out rice for her right away so she could have something to eat while we waited. Thoughtful! While the food took longer than usual, we didn't notice at all because the server came frequently to refill our water and pop. When it finally came it was hot and delicious. I missed those lemon potatoes! When we left, the server gave us a box of Ekmek to enjoy as dessert. What a pleasant surprise and amazing experience. We were so full from the large portions from dinner that we had to eat it the next day. Go here for fantastic food and service!
First time visiting here and our family had an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and super nice. Most importantly the food was amazing. I’ve been to many Greek restaurants and this one is definitely one of the better quality restaurants I’ve been to. The roast lamb was just perfect as it just melted in your mouth. The calamari dinner and kids souvlaki was just as great. We were there for my toddler’s birthday and they also gave us a complimentary dessert to top things off. Great experience overall and we’ll definitely come back again.
Good authentic Greek Food. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Cozy warm environment. Free after 5 pm, small parking lot, beside building. Reasonable food prices, small variety of local and import wine. Food quality and flavor has always been very reliable over the years. Ordered the lamb chops medium tonight, based on the server suggestion if I like medium/rare steak to order medium lamb. Came out medium/ well. Showed server and brought new oder of blue/rare. Gave me free desert. New chef still learning apparently. I'll still be back.
I had a wonderful experience at Yamas Taverna. As someone with diabetes, I asked if I could substitute the potatoes with vegetables. The staff were incredibly understanding and accommodating—there were no surprise charges, and they made sure I felt completely supported. It’s rare to find a restaurant that’s both attentive and transparent, and I truly appreciated the care they showed. Great food, warm service, and top-notch hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!
We ordered take out and got the Greek ribs and potatoes and rice. The food was amazing and the staff and service was incredible. Thank you to the staff that worked tonight. It was very appreciated
